John Todd

John Todd is a senior real estate finance executive with more than 30 years of
experience in underwriting and structuring public and private real estate debt and equity. Mr. Todd has been a lead investor/advisor in transactions totaling more than $35 billion.
Prior to first working with SSA in 2024, Mr. Todd was Co-founder and Managing Partner of Post Road Partners LLC, an alternative credit private equity vehicle and advisor focused on providing capital in distressed situations. Before PRP, Mr. Todd was the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investment Banking at LEX Markets, a VC-backed investment bank, brokerage platform and SEC-registered stock exchange for securitizing real estate equity, as well as equity of sports teams and other alternative
assets.

Mr. Todd began his career in real estate finance at Credit Suisse First Boston where he was a principal investor within the Praedium Group, CSFB’s manager of private equity
funds focused on opportunistic investments. Mr. Todd worked on the acquisition, development, financing and asset management of a $2 billion portfolio. After CSFB, he joined Salomon Smith Barney, which became part of Citigroup Global Markets, Citi’s investment banking arm. At Citi, he led the execution of corporate financings, IPOs, private placements, new partnerships and fund formations, M&A and other strategic transactions for real estate-related institutions in the US, Europe and Asia. Mr. Todd also spent time at Fidelity Investments as a quantitative analyst.

Mr. Todd received his B.A. in Physics from the University of Chicago and received his M.A. in Physics from Brandeis University. Mr. Todd currently holds FINRA Series SIE and 79 registrations, and has formerly held Series 7, 63 and 24 designations.
