On March 27, 2013, Jack Mullen hosted the 5th in his series of Quarterly Roundtable Networking Breakfasts at The Yale Club in NYC, entitled “Look Beyond ‘Bricks and Sticks’ to Fix CRE’s Future”. This inaugural event of 2013 was well-attended by industry executives, and reviewed lessons learned during the economic downturn and various solutions and core strategies to navigate the crucial stage of recovery and growth for CRE. Building on the successful series in 2012, the event drew participants from various financial and real estate investment firms, including Goldman Sachs, Johnson Capital, Ares Management, and Deloitte.
“While the trends in CRE and CMBS are clearly positive, a number of economic and other marketplace factors still exist which are impacting momentum,” said Mr. Mullen. “But today’s group agreed that the way we position, analyze and resolve deals today will have a profound effect on every deal we handle in the future.”
“The informal setting, along with the caliber of attendees, encourages an interactive and open dialog that is not typical in a day-to-day office setting,” continued Mullen. “I’m looking forward to continuing the discussion throughout the series this year.”
The second installment of Mr. Mullen’s 2013 Roundtable Series is in the planning stages. For information on upcoming events and to register in advance, please email info@summerstreetre.com.
