Summer Street Advisors today announced the addition of John Todd as Director, along with Marija Popovska and Ramiro Brandolini as Analysts. The new appointments reflect the firm’s continued growth and focus on underwriting, appraisal review, and asset management and risk assessment.

John Todd, Director, brings more than 30 years of experience across public and private real estate debt and equity markets. Over the course of his career, Mr. Todd has served as a lead investor and advisor on transactions totaling more than $35 billion, spanning acquisitions, financings, restructurings, and strategic capital raises across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Prior to rejoining Summer Street Advisors in 2024, Mr. Todd was Co-founder and Managing Partner of Post Road Partners LLC, an alternative credit private equity vehicle focused on providing capital in distressed situations. Earlier, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investment Banking at LEX Markets, a VC-backed investment bank, brokerage platform and SEC-registered stock exchange for securitizing real estate equity.

Mr. Todd began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a principal investor with the Praedium Group. He later joined Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup Global Markets), where he led corporate financings, IPOs, private placements, fund formations, M&A, and strategic transactions for real estate institutions globally. He also spent time at Fidelity Investments as a quantitative analyst.

Summer Street Advisors also welcomed two new Analysts:

Marija Popovska, Analyst, brings experience in project management, compliance, and financial analysis. Prior to joining SSA, she worked as a Risk Manager/Analyst at UNIQA Insurance and as a Project Manager at Pointobject B.V., where she supported operational coordination, reporting, and risk assessment initiatives. Marija holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Integrated Business Faculty and completed the adidas Global Internship Program in Corporate Finance & Treasury.

Ramiro Brandolini, Analyst, joins SSA with a background in acquisitions and underwriting across multiple commercial real estate asset classes. Previously, he worked as an Acquisitions Analyst at Elite Equity Group in Los Angeles and as an Underwriter for a Miami-based firm covering properties nationwide. At Summer Street Advisors, Ramiro supports market research, credit analysis, property diligence, and underwriting. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from UCEMA University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Austral University.
