Private equity fund taps advisory firm to provide loan valuations and portfolio risk assessment

Westport, CT (March 1, 2010) – Summer Street Advisors, LLC (“SSA”), a boutique commercial real estate and financial advisory firm, has concluded an engagement with a private equity fund bidding to acquire a $3.5 billion regional bank.

SSA was engaged by the fund to perform loan valuation and due diligence on the bank’s commercial real estate loan portfolio including loan file review, collateral and loan valuation, and a risk assessment of the portfolio. The assignment, which was completed in a compressed time frame, was a critical component to the fund’s bid to buy the bank.
